Pilot Curriculum Review of Computing Science
The Scottish Government and Education Scotland are running a curriculum-wide improvement cycle, and Computing Science is getting a head start with a pilot review.
STACS is working closely with Education Scotland on this, and we’re inviting you to join the first workshop, happening on 26th November 2024, 10am-3:30pm in Glasgow. We're looking for a wide range of voices to shape the future of Computing Science in Scottish education. Around 75 of the 100 spaces will go to teachers, with others from academia, industry, and key stakeholders. This includes early years teachers, primary, secondary teachers, principal teachers, faculty heads, DHT, HT etc.
If you're interested, talk to your head teacher now about getting release and register your interest by 3rd November 2024. Successful applicants will be notified by 8th November.
You can watch this podcast from Education Scotland that gives more detail about the Curriculum Review Cycle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YZAyyj7vgw (36 minutes).
Don’t miss this chance to help shape the future of Computing Science!
