Bring a STACS Connect event to your local area.

Are you passionate about sharing knowledge and inspiring your fellow teachers? Do you believe in the power of collaboration to enhance teaching and learning in Computing Science? We're seeking dedicated educators to bring STACS Connect events to your local area.

Who we're looking for:

  • Primary or Secondary teachers with a passion for Computing Science.

  • We welcome applications from any teachers delivering Computing Science. If we receive similar applications, we'll connect interested teachers to form a collaborative team.

  • A commitment to creating and event that foster knowledge sharing, collaboration, and connection. This could be an event with teachers sharing ideas, running workshops, hackathon to collaborate and create materials, a mix of all or something completely different.

What we can offer:

  • Event promotion: Spreading the word about your event, including creating event sign-ups and promotional materials

  • Speaker/workshop support: Identifying and contacting potential speakers.

  • Branding: Branding materials and support.

  • Venue: Support with finding a venue although this could be hosted in your school.

  • Food costs: Cover the cost of food for your event.

  • Ongoing planning support: We'll be there every step of the way to help you plan a successful event.

If you're interested in running a STACS Connect Event, please sign up below. We're aiming to support around 4-5 events this year. We'll review all applications and get back to you with our decision. In some cases, ideas may be similar, and we'll suggest combining them to form a larger team. Other ideas might be better suited for virtual events.
