The National Robotarium - People centred; Intelligence driven
The National Robotarium is a world-leading centre for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.
Officially opened in September 2022 on Heriot-Watt University’s Edinburgh Campus, in partnership with The University of Edinburgh, the 40,000sq ft building has unrivalled facilities, high-spec laboratories and uses cutting-edge technology to test and develop robots to help people do things better.
We are fully committed to creating a National Robotarium community embedding ethics and public understanding of robotics and AI. Through our outreach and engagement programme, we aim to build skills, develop talent, and educate people about the positive role robotics and AI can play in society. Our programme of engagement is focused on putting industry and schools at the heart of our offering through increased public understanding and critical appreciation of robotics and AI.
Our vision to forge strong relationships with industry and schools is an integral part of our practice at the National Robotarium. We embed this ethos into our work, enhancing the skills and attitudes of all involved with an aim of making an impact in society and ensuring our work is socially conscious and relevant.
